| | Kit Hedman's statement:
I crave walking into new place,
photographing a fresh face. I would go anywhere just to wake up my
eye. The whole sidewalk assemblage, someone rolling a tire or sitting
in a cafe sipping champagne--it gives me pangs to leave life
unrecorded. A seven year old, crossing the street, breaking into a
little dance opens my heart's wafer as easily as great writing.
Photography's just another way to tell a story. Inventive and
imaginative, witty or dark, as long as it's captivating. In place of
gimmicks photography requires love of wild, unpredictable feelings and
sensations. And a camera--the only reliable witness to my soul's
thirst. |
