loves getting new poems!
However,at this time submissions are closed.
HB4 has been filled for the winter issue.
We will resume the submission process come February 15th of 2010.
Each issue holds up to 55 poets per edition.This is a BIG
undertaking,please be patient..
we will respond within a few weeks time to accept/reject your work.
Please do not send your poems as attachments in any word files!
ANY TYPE of attachments will be automatically disposed of
and remain unread!
We ask for only five poems,any length,any genre, embedded
to
the body on your email,with your header stating "poetry submission HB"
We LOVE completely previously unpublished poems,but know the process
ourselves as writers can be sometime difficult to keep entirely awesome
records of who has received what.
So,in essence if one of the
poems you have (doubly sent for submission to us also) elsewhere gets
picked up another place first,NOTIFY us immediately,We will likely ask
for a replacement piece.
There is no rhyme or reason to how many
each author gets published in each issue--it's subjective! What can we
say--we like what we like,when we like it.
WE COMPLETELY ENCOURAGE
new poets to send us something nifty and good,we love supporting the
newbie author! Don't be scared,we only nibble a little!
Bios are not presently used for any authors except features.
But, please feel free to embed one ,no more than two paragraphs
in length,so the editor may get to know you better!
HB does not accept unsolicited reviews for books at this time.
